Jose Antonio Partida

Jose Antonio Partida (aka Josean Partida) is a mexican - american filmmaker with over 9 years of experience. He has pursued film making from a very young age, creating movies with as little as a camera and a couple of legos®. During his teenage years, he was went to a movie summer camp in SOCAPA Teen Arts Camps, New York. Cementing his future as a cinephile.

At 19, he decided to study filmmaking in SFUAD (Santa Fe University of Arts and Design), achieving another dream and getting closer to his goal of being a movie director. Here, he was able to work and see first hand how movies were made, produced and directed, making his love for the art much bigger. Finally, he graduated in May of 2018 as a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA), specialized in film production.

He has gained tons of experience working for big movie companies, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, Universal, Fox, and Apple TV. As well, his work has been appreciated in indie productions across the United States and Mexico.

Josean Partida continues to innovate in cinema, trying to come up with new ideas and projects.

Company Background

Pink Bonsai INC started as a storefront for Josean’s dreams to come true. Working in other projects has helped him to gain confidence, experience and new techniques that he can later on show the world.

Back in 2016, Pink Bonsai came to life with one goal: to become the best production company out there. Ever since its creation, Pink Bonsai’s mission has stayed true to itself, providing quality in every step of the way.

Why make another production company in a market so contested and overshadowed by the BIG corporations? Josean’s vision goes farther than that, trying to come up with a company that feels like home, and that treats each project as its own.

Before Pink Bonsai was even a thought on Josean’s mind, he first wanted to create a production company dedicated to indie filmmakers across America. Some ideas came and went, but the values that today represent Pink Bonsai stayed.

Experience

SOCAPA Teen Arts Camp was Josean’s first real approach to filmmaking as a whole. There, he and his classmates underwent a rigorous course, forging every single one of them into hardworking artists. And even though it was only for a month, Josean still yearns his time there.

In Mexico, most of Josean’s work has been in the commercial field, developing his skills as a gapher in multiple TV spots.

Since 2014, Josean moved to Santa Fe searching for new ways to expand his film knowledge. Four years of studying gave him his BFA, achieving another milestone following his dream of becoming a renowned director.
